Travel outsider takes top role at Expedia.co.uk
Expedia.co.uk has appointed travel industry outsider Caroline Cartellieri as vice president and managing director.
Cartellieri was previously with home improvements retailer
Kingfisher plc as director of group commercial finance.
In her new role, she will be responsible for the day to day running of the UK business, reporting to Dermot Halpin, president Expedia Inc EMEA.
“Caroline brings a wealth of strategic expertise, commercial accumen ands retail knowledge,” said Halpin.
“She will prove adept not just in maintaining our role as market leader, but will also ensure that we continue to be beter placed than our comptetitors to take advantage of future opportunities.”
