Tuesday, 26 May, 2006 0

Leading travel recruitment specialists Travel People and Travel Personnel have announced that they will merge from 26 May 2006.

Sandra Chiles, Managing Director of Travel People announcing the merger today said, “I’m delighted to welcome Travel Personnel and we are excited about the opportunities this offers our clients”.

She added, ” We will be combining Travel People and Travel Personnel’s vast travel industry specific experience, extensive industry networks and recruitment expertise built over many years, to source the best people for the industry and at the same time candidates will be presented with a wider range positions, opportunities and career paths”.

She added, “Clients of both organisations will benefit from an even broader range of skills, contacts and experience and this exciting development will provide the new merged Travel People and Travel Personnel with greater scope to offer effective recruitment services that address the challenges of an increasing skills shortage throughout the industry”.

Pam Church, Managing Director of Travel Personnel confirmed, “This is a great move forward as there are many synergies between our service offerings and in particular our business values”.  “Sandra and I have always had great respect for each other, our business practices and reputation in the industry and this merger will benefit our clients and candidates in the future.”

When Travel People was founded 25 years ago, it was the first specialist travel recruitment agency in Australia, with Travel Personnel having been established for 12 years and while the two firms will operate out of the one location in Clarence Street, Sydney and have a shared back office, it is planned to maintain both brands in the market place in the first phase of the merger.
