Despite rising markets, travel and tourism shares failed to make any significant headway yesterday. The FTSE 100 index added 31.7 points to end the day at 4434.4, while the broader-based FTSE 250 gained 39.1 points to close at 6133.5. Eurotunnel was the biggest mover of the day, losing 4p for a closing price of 34.75p, after it released disappointing full-year results; the stock is now trading at a significant discount to its year-high of 73.5p but still well clear of its 12-month low of 23p.
