Travel and tourism shares suffered yesterday as London’s equity markets slumped. The FTSE 100 index had its biggest fall in more than a month, dropping 34.4 points to close at 4476.8, while the FTSE 250 index fell 51.4 points to end the day at 6069. Probably the biggest loser among industry shares was ebookers, which fell 18.75p – its second double-figure drop in succession.
