Nearly all travel and tourism shares fell yesterday as London’s equity markets fell back. The FTSE 100 index dropped 11.9 points to close at 4511.2, while the FTSE 250 dropped 7.3 points to end the day at 6120.4p. Among shares on the “News From Abroad Index”, the biggest story of the day involved TBI, whose share price fell 5.75p to 61.75p after a potential suitor, the German giant Hochtief, confirmed that it would not be bidding for the airports operator after several weeks of speculation that it might do so.
