TRAVEL STOCKWATCH
After many months of commercial ups and downs without any help from the UK Government, British Airways is understandably angry at proposals for the Italian Government to bail out its rival Alitalia with a rescue package of more than £260 million. BA has urged the European Union to step in and ground the deal. It was a lacklustre day on the stock markets yesterday with the FTSE 100 finishing 18.1 points down at 4321.1 and the FTSE 250 down too, 10.4 points lower at 6063.5.
