Travel website of the year named
Hotel reservations site hotel.info has beaten holiday review site TripAdvisor for the title of ‘most popular’ leisure and travel Website of the Year.
Hotel.info, which lists 250,000 hotels worldwide, defeated the 2012 winner TripAdvisor, which has won the award for the past two years.
It also beat other popular sites including British Airways, booking.com and Expedia.
The awards, which are voted for by the public, received more than 88,600 votes for a total of 238 websites between September 23 and November 1.
Other winners included Amazon in the Shopping category, YouTube in the Media & Entertainment category and Vodafone for the Telecom category.
