Travelcare rolls-out dynamic packaging system
Travelcare’s dynamic packaging system is to be rolled out to all 99 United Co-op Travel Group (UCTG) agencies in addition to retailers in the Freedom Travel Group.
The extension of the Escape system, which uses technology provided by the Online Travel Corporation, means it will have a potential client database of one million holidaymakers.
It is currently used by the 370 branches of Travelcare and its Cheapestflights, Justflights and Travelcare Direct brands.
Mike Greenacre, UCTG general manager and chief operating officer of the Co-op Travel Trading Group, said: “Escape provides UCTG’s staff with an immediately available solution that has the potential to provide an extensive dynamic packaging capability to lead to growth in this market.
“We predict that over 80% of UCTG’s dynamic packaging business will now go through Escape.”
Travelcare general manager Amanda Williams said a new range of product will soon be added to the system.
