Travelfusion launches free online search platform

Saturday, 26 Jul, 2006 0

Travelfusion has developed a meta travel search platform that can be downloaded for free by web developers.

Called TRIPplannerXML, it gives price comparison and booking options for over 200 travel suppliers including low cost carriers, charters and scheduled airlines as well as rates from hotel consolidators and chains and car rental companies.

CEO Moshe Rafiah said: “We expect our APIs to have the same impact as the introduction of mapping APIs had last year.

“For the first time web developers have access to a huge number of air, hotel, car, rail, ground transport and ferry travel suppliers with geo coded data and all powered by most powerful travel search engine available today.”

Features of TRIPplannerXML include door-to-door trip planning and single search for all types of transportation.

TRAVELfusion’s content and search tools are all available via XML APIs and have been integrated with dozens of e-commerce travel companies.
