Travelink founder steps down
Travelink founder David Jones has handed over the reins of his company to a colleague.
Mr Jones, a regular commentator on TravelMole.com, has given up the full time role of managing director to concentrate on other interests.
His company, which launched ten years ago, has sold booking and distribution technology to over 70 tour operators in Europe including Thomas Cook brands flexibletrips.com, roomsandhotels.com and Club 18-30, as well as Elegant Resorts, Barwell, Sunvil, and Erna Low.
Taking over the managing director role is current board director Ceri Jones, who joined Travelink in 2000 from Hicking Pentecost PLC, where he was group finance director.
