Travelmole Asia Web Award winners named
SINGAPORE – The winners of the inaugural TravelMole Web Awards for Asia were announced today in Singapore.
Known as the “Moscarsâ€, winning entries came from around the region, with entries from Australia showing up strongly in the final count.
The judges had a hard time choosing the winners from a list of 200 nominees for the various categories, but those chosen represent the best of the best in their categories.
The awards were sponsored by Allotz and Green Globe, and were presented at the Suntec Convention Centre in conjunction with the EyeforTravel Summit.
Charles Kao, head of Travelmole, said: “I congratulate the Asia Pacific travel and tourism industry for its excellent participation in putting forward 200 web site nominees.
“And, thank you to our judging panel for their fine and diligent work.
“We also very much appreciate EyeforTravel for their support in hosting the award lunch ceremonies at Suntec Convention Centre.
“It certainly was the perfect forum – in front of so many travel technology and eCommerce leaders from the Asia-Pacific region – for the announcement of the awards and the presentations.
Award judges were Damien Pfirsch, Digital Strategy Director, Keen Media Co Ltd, Thailand; Joe Nguyen, Director of eCommerce, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, Singapore; Joe Buhler, Sr Destination Marketing Analyst, PhoCusWright and Principal, Buhler Works, USA; Liz Craig, Principal, OneGlobe Network, France and USA
A Live at the Mole online discussion with web site experts will discuss and analyse 2008 Asia Web Award winners and beyond.
