TravelMole gains industry recognition
Launched in November 1999, TravelMole is now the fastest growing online trade publication for travel and tourism in Europe.
TravelMole pages are read over 2.5 million times per year. On current upward trends it will be over 4 million by the end of 2003.
There are now over 23,000 registered subscribers receiving the TravelMole e-news service. This includes over 90% of independent travel agencies in the UK. Members of the press from the following publications are among those that receive the TravelMole news service.
In all there are subscribers in 132 countries. Most of our subscribers are based in the UK, followed by North America (US and Canada), Australia and South Africa. Other countries where there are high numbers of subscribers include Singapore, France, Germany, Italy, India, Greece, Thailand, Malaysia and the Netherlands.
TravelMole has begun its drive into North America, with the first newswires going out to members of ResExpo, a 2,500-strong community of managers of travel agencies, tour operators and trade suppliers.
TravelMole is the media sponsor and partner of over 12 travel and tourism events worldwide.
TravelMole’s recent Web Awards in Travel and Tourism, recognising ‘Excellence in Trade Use of the Internet’ attracted over 250 nominations in its first year. The winners were announced at the British Travel Trade Fair, 26 March, Birmingham.

TravelMole’s Who’s Who was launched in June 2002 and now has over 2,000 entries. It is free to add your personal entry, just follow the simple instructions in the Who’s Who section.
Trade Directories
There are four self-maintaining directories: Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Trade Suppliers and Tourist Offices. TravelMole members are encouraged to add their company details to the relevant directory (free of charge). Just go to the relevant directory and follow the instructions to ‘Add’ an entry.
Trade PressZone
PressZone is where users come to access essential press information from other organisations and companies. Each week, we include the latest headlines from PressZone members in our main weekly e-newsletter, which goes out to over 23,000 subscribers in the industry.
