Travelmole Guest Comment: Results of a Dubai poll
The results are in for ‘The Mole Poll’ question: “Would you sell Dubai for spas & shopping?†with around half of you saying you would sell Dubai for pampering holidays
According to the DTCM, those of you who answered “no” could be missing an opportunity. Here, they explain why:
“Dubai’s spa and shopping facilities are fast becoming internationally celebrated.
There are spas for both men and women offer well-known international brands such as La Prairie, Elemis and ESPA, while others focus on traditional Arabian ingredients.
The popular treatment from the region is Rasul, a detoxifying mud treatment which purifies and relaxes the body as it is cleansed. There are now a number of respected specialists offering this treatment in Dubai.
A brand new Armani Spa has opened at the Armani Hotel. The 12,000 square foot spa reflects the Armani lifestyle and design philosophies.
Alternatively, the Desert Palm boasts the Per Aquum designed Lime Spa with six spa suites offering healing spa therapies, relaxation, and healthy organic cuisine.
One of Dubai’s greatest visitor attractions is its world renowned shopping. The city attracts keen shoppers from all over the globe with over 50 modern shopping malls selling tax free items, as well as traditional souks selling gold, spices, textiles, fish, fruit and vegetables where visitors can enjoy haggling to get the best price.
It is also home to the world’s largest mall, the Dubai Mall, which is the size of 50 football pitches and consists of both high-end designer stores and high street stores. Close to the airport, Wafi Mall offers exclusive and original brands in an elegant setting. Both malls also feature authentic souks – Soul Al Bahar and Khan Murjan respectively.
With a huge variety of spas and shops, world-class hotels, restaurants and entertainment, all discerning tastes are well catered for. Dubai has everything for the ultimate pampering break.”
