TravelMole partner Greg Grainger and Grainger TV have launched Australia’s newest TV travel program TRAVEL OZ, a regular 1-hr TV Program Featuring Australia’s Premier Tourist Destinations.
Veteran travel documentary producer and presenter Greg Grainger says that TRAVEL OZ will be screened by a number of international channels, including the Travel Channel in Europe, ABC’s Australia Network in Asia Pacific and Sky News in Australia and New Zealand.
Greg added, “TRAVEL OZ will take a fresh slant on Australia’s magnificent destinations and we want viewers to feel like they’re travelling with us, experiencing every sight and sound as if they’re on location.”
“We also plan to provide viewers and travellers with support information to help them make bookings of their own and we want to take them to places they might not otherwise have ever known about.”
Grainger’s production company Grainger Television Australia, will produce twelve programs a year from July 2007, with each program run for a television hour, which is actually 45 mins allowing for breaks.
International cable networks like Travel Channel Europe normally repeat programs like TRAVEL OZ many times during their programming giving Australia massive international and international and domestic coverage.
Each program will feature 6 destinations, with a web site also set up to provide viewers with additional information, including booking details as well as links to sponsors’ websites through www.traveloztv.com
The variety of segments featured during each show will include: –

** Beneath Down Under – Dive to the depths off the coast of the world’s largest continent and discover an underwater paradise full of colourful coral and amazing oceanic creatures.
** Crazy Critters – Meet the world’s cuddliest, dangerous and bizarre creatures and the people who care for them in the wild and in zoos.
** Outback Oz – From mustering cattle on a remote station to riding camel across the desert, discover a timeless Australia on outback adventure tours.
** Island Hopping – Revealing the abundance of islands off Australia’s coasts with unique wildlife and traditional cultures.
** Wish You Were Here – Video postcards of tourists enjoying their vacation, with real people in beautiful locations describing their wonderful Aussie experiences.
** Picture Perfect – Professional photographers describe the inspiration behind some of the most breathtaking photos of the Australian landscape.
Grainger Television Australia has produced over sixty international travel documentaries for primetime screening on the Seven Network in Australia, programs which have also screened on Travel Channel Europe and Travel Channel USA.
