Travelocity finds new CEO
Michelle Peluso has been named new chief executive of Travelocity.com, and further announcements concerning European executive positions are expected. Ms Peluso, previously chief operating officer at Travelocity, and before that chief executive of Site59.com, takes over from Sam Galliland. Mr Galliland has taken a top job in Sabre Holdings, replacing Bill Hannigan as chairman and chief executive. Mr Hannigan resigned to return to the telecommunications industry as president of AT&T Corporation. Travelocity Europe, a separate company owned by Sabre Holdings and the German travel company, Otto, has also hinted at announcements. Travelocity Europe is currently led by Dirk Hauke.
