The Travelodge.co.uk site has been identified by Hitwise UK as the only budget hotel company in the top 10.

The Hitwise UK top ten websites for the ‘Travel – Destination and Accommodation’ sector in 2008 were:

1) www.travelodge.co.uk

2) www.laterooms.com

3) www.tripadvisor.co.uk

4) www.ichotelsgroup.com

5) www.activehotels.com

6) www.holidaywatchdog.com

7) www.hotels.co.uk

8) www.superbreak.com

9) www.information-britain.co.uk

10) www.hotelclub.com

Travelodge UK managing director Guy Parsons said: "Travelodge.co.uk has become the UK’s most visited travel website due to the excellent prices available there and a design which it makes it the most accessible site in the industry.

"With a five click process from selecting a hotel to paying, the Travelodge website is designed to make the customers visit as easy as possible.”
