Travelodge opens east London hotel
Travelodge has opened a 107-room hotel in Walthamstow in the east of London.
The new hotel development is part of a £20 million regeneration project to help revitalize Walthamstow Central Station.
The Walthamstow Travelodge has been designed in the company’s new brand style, which includes a new luxury king size bed called the Travelodge Dreamer.
The hotel also has an onsite Bar Caf-© which offers a breakfast, dinner and bar service.
Travelodge revenue director Tom Edwards, said: "There is a desperate need for good quality accommodation within the area and our new hotel is centrally based to offer the best value to business and leisure customers".
During the last 18 months, Travelodge has spent £57 million refurbishing its hotels across the UK.
As part of this programme, the company has invested £10 million modernising 43 of its London hotels.
The opening of Walthamstow Travelodge will boost the Company’s London portfolio to 61 and nationwide to 513.
