Travelodge opens Ireland’s largest budget hotel
Budget hotel chain Travelodge has opened the largest branded budget hotel in Ireland.
The 393-room Dublin City Centre Travelodge PLUS is the firm’s 11th hotel in Ireland.
It is under its franchise agreement with Tifco which manages Travelodge hotels across Ireland.
It is also the first Travelodge hotel to offer premium economy SuperRooms.
The group’s fifth Travelodge hotel in the capital, Dublin City Centre Travelodge PLUS represents a multi-million euro investment for Tifco and has created 100 new jobs.
It offers easy access to the Convention Centre, Temple Bar, tourist attractions and shopping.
The business friendly SuperRoom category offers a three-jet shower, in-room Lavazza coffee pod machines, a larger desk and USB power points throughout.
It is styled in a modern residential décor scheme.
Additional room types include family, double, twin accessible and interconnecting rooms.
The ground floor features work and relaxation zones, a bar and restaurant.
The restaurant also has a stylish outdoor terrace.
Tifco also announced it has upgraded its Galway City hotel to a Travelodge PLUS concept and added 17 new rooms.
