Travelscope extends call centre opening hours
Gloucester-based Travelscope has extended the opening hours of its dedicated Contact Centre operation to cope with increased calls from agents and clients.
It has installed the latest call handling technology so it can handle up to 50,000 calls per month, both from customers and the trade.
The move comes after the company’s £5 million relocation to new headquarters on the Gloucester Business Park in February.
Travelscope now employs 73 staff at its Contact Centre after creating an additional 20 full and part-time jobs since moving to the new purpose-built offices.
Managing director Richard Ford said: “The decision to extend our opening hours has been made as a result of a considerable increase in telephone bookings. The only days we will be closed are Christmas Day and Boxing Day.”
From Saturday, the new opening times are Monday to Friday 8am-10pm, Saturday 8am-8pm, and Sunday and bank holidays 9am-5.30pm.
