Travelzest appoints Canadian online travel firm boss to board
The president of itravel2000.com, claimed to be Canada’s largest pure online travel retailer acquired by Travelzest in October, has joined the board of the UK company.
Jonathan Carroll co-founded itravel2000.com with Jeffrey MacKenzie in 1994 and was previously senior sales manager of Sunquest Vacations in Toronto.
Travelzest group chief executive Chris Mottershead said: “As co-founder of one of Canada’s largest pure online travel retailers, Jonathan has an excellent track record in the travel industry and brings a wealth of experience of the North American market to the board.
“Together we will work on driving the growth of Travelzest’s online distribution platforms in the UK and North America and continue to build a portfolio of high-quality, specialist travel businesses and on-line travel agents which achieve profits throughout the year.”
