Travelzest moves into UK breaks sector
Travelzest has made its first move into the domestic travel sector with the acquisition of specialist UK accommodation provider Wow House for an initial £95,000.
Wow House offers an exclusive portfolio of large houses to rent for UK short breaks and an event planning service.
Founder Nick House will remain with the company as managing director and will be entitled to an earn-out payable in shares in Travelzest.
Travelzest, which flags itself as an online travel group, has grown through a series of purchases in the last 12 months including the assets of Turkey operator Tapestry Holidays.
Travelzest group chief executive Chris Mottershead said: “This company provides an excellent opportunity and adds to our growing portfolio of specialist tour operators.
“It also demonstrates our ability to identify early-stage businesses with experienced management and the potential to capture a greater share of their niche markets.”
