Travelzoo pays $1.7m for domain name
Global online media company Travelzoo has paid $1.76 million in cash for the internet domain name fly.com.
The company is to use the name for a new information website to be launched this month.
Senior vice-president and general manager of search products Brian Clark said: "We are delighted to acquire fly.com for our new offering.
"The name is a perfect match for Travelzoo’s renowned approach: simple, fun, and world class.
“Where others see doom and gloom we see opportunities to serve travellers and advertisers with innovative approaches to finding the best values in travel."
