Travelzoo: traffic up 176%
Travelzoo Inc. says its monthly Web site traffic was more than 21 million page views in January, a 176% increase versus the same period last year.
“This significant growth can be attributed to three key factors,” said Kelly Ford, vice president of marketing.
First, as consumers increase their use of the internet for researching and booking travel, they are turning to Travelzoo for help. Secondly, the site has a growing subscriber base of more than eight million.
“Finally, Travelzoo’s newest product, SuperSearch, has driven Web site usage,” according to Ms Ford.
Consumers looking for travel sites drove January traffic to an all-time record for more than a dozen of Travelzo’s Web site categories across all travel segments.
Travelzoo, which calls itself the internet’s largest publishers of travel offers available directly from hundreds of travel companies, says it received an average of 115,000 visits a day in January.
