Trends in 2010 for the Luxury Travel market

Tuesday, 29 Jul, 2009 0

Taking into consideration the present economic setting of the world, it is natural that there shall be some major changes in the travel trends in 2010. To find out the extent of these changes, Paradizo.com surveyed a number of judicious travelers and travel professionals. The main objective of this site is to provide interested travelers with tools necessary to create a perfect and personalized luxury vacation. It provides high-end vacation services like villa rentals, private islands, yacht and jet charters, concierge services and other luxury travel collections.

Attracting the Travelers

The results of this survey make it clear that value for their money will be the most important factor for the travelers, while concept and branding shall take somewhat of a backseat. Luxury hotels and tour operators shall have to convince their customers through their marketing and travel packages, why it shall be worth it to pay a bit more for the extraordinary experience.

The luxury travel industry would see a growing pressure to provide exotic travel and customized, excellent experiences to its customers. Above-and-beyond experiences like luxury safaris, heli-ski trip, niche boat cruises, shall gain importance during this period. In addition, personalized art tours, tailor-made culinary courses and high speed car tours in top vacation destinations like Cape Town, Province, Tuscany and New York would find a number of interested takers.

Green Travel

Though green traveling is not a new concept, it shall gain much prominence during this period. Eco-luxury travel is becoming an important part of the luxury travel market and it shall see an increased demand in the year 2010.

Destination for the Adventurous and Jetsetting Crowd

Industry experts have predicted that Europe is going to be a major hot spot for the jetsetting crowd. It is also expected to become a preferred destination for the slightly more conservative crowd. New hotspots like Sardinia and Croatia shall come into prominence. On the other hand, old favorites like Ibiza, Provence and Mykonos shall see a renewed interest. For the more adventurous luxury travelers, favored spots would include Ecuador, Tanzania, Belize and the adventure capital, New Zealand.
