TripAdvisor Instant Booking expands to Asia Pacific

TripAdvisor has announced a big expansion of its Instant Booking service to several key markets in Asia Pacific.

The feature, which lets users make hotel bookings without leaving the TripAdvisor desktop or mobile site, is coming to Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, India, Australia and New Zealand.

"We’re excited to help even more travellers around the world conveniently plan and book the perfect trip on our site as we rollout instant booking to more global markets," said Stephen Kaufer, president and CEO of TripAdvisor.

"The momentum we’re building is remarkable and we look forward to continuing our expansion throughout 2016 with the help of our trusted partners."

TripAdvisor’s Instant Booking inclues inventory from a host of global hotel chains including Accor, Choice Hotels, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Mandarin Oriental, Marriott, Hyatt, Carlson Rezidor, Best Western International and Wyndham Worldwide.

The service was also significantly beefed up last year with the inclusion of Booking.com’s inventory.

TripAdvisor said Instant booking capability will also be available for users in other key English speaking markets Canada, Ireland and South Africa.
