Triton conference programme unveiled
Triton has outlined the programme for its 2008 conference, being held on April 18-20 in Palma, Majorca.
Directors Colin Heal, Andrew Botterill and John McEwan will take centre stage at the opening to update delegates on the progress that has been made to date, and to share future plans for the group.
According to Triton, the ‘Growing For Gold’ conference has already exceeded its 450 target with 500 delegates currently registered.
The full programme is as follows:
Friday April 18
– Triton Golf Challenge at the Real Golf de Bendinat
– Welcome party at the 17th century Son Amar estate – dinner/cabaret
– Opportunity to visit the late night bars at La Lonja
Saturday April 19
Morning Session
– Triton Directors – “Triton update and future plansâ€
– Andrew Dickson of the Wow factor – “How independent agents can be successful in today’s competitive marketplaceâ€
– Keith Stanley, CEO of Stella Travel Services Worldwide – “Benefits that Stella can bring to the Triton Travel Group and views on the current state of the travel industry.â€
Afternoon Session
– Lunch
– Workshop sessions: “Financial Management Made Simple†by Professor Shai Vyakarnam, and “The Triton ATOL†by Jason Edwards, (the ATOL will be available to all Triton members)
– Speed dating sessions throughout the afternoon.
Evening Entertainment
– Dine-A-Rounds at some of the best restaurants in Palma, and late night bar at the Abraxas nightclub.
Sunday April 20
Morning Session
– Closed sessions for the consortia. For example the Worldchoice Board will update its members and shareholders on the progress of the current merger and other developments.
– Speed-dating and workshop sessions entitled: “Managing Small Teams†by Professor Shai Vyakarnam and “The Cruise Forum†led by Andy Harman of ACE.
– Lunch
Afternoon Session
– Trade panel discussion with: Lee Marshall, head of travel industry sales at Gold Medal; Manuel Mascarenhas, sales director of Kuoni; Matt Cheevers, managing director Teletext; Trudy Redfern, senior vice president and managing director of Silversea Cruises; and Helen Burgess, director of Triton Travel Ltd and Worldchoice, and managing director of Pursers and Didsbury Travel Worldchoice.

Monday April 21

a.) Wine tasting and tapas – visiting two wine cellars in the Binissalem and Pla i Llevant areas, including a tapas lunch.
b.) Valldemossa and Costa Nord – visiting the charming village of Valldemossa on the north of the island in a valley of the Tramuntana mountains.
