TTD: Galileo Leisure gears up for World Cup
Galileo Leisure claims to be offering agents access to “unrivalled” hotel accommodation during the World Cup in Germany.
In advance of the tournament kicking off in just over two weeks time, the company said it had centrally located hotels as well as rooms in cities nearby to match venues.
The leisure portal is utilising hotel allocations negotiated specifically for the World Cup by sister company Gullivers Travel Associates.
Galileo Leisure claims its late availability function allows agents to book hotels for first round games and properties for the second stage when customers know where their team is going to be playing.
Detailed train timetables for travel to and from matches is also being provided on the portal.
Alison Bell, lesiure channel vice-president for Galileo parent Cendant TDS, said: “GTA has shown strong foresight in negotiating and contracting such a wide range of hotels in preparation for the World Cup. We are pleased to provide our Galileo agents with access to this hotel content via a single tool with guaranteed commission.”
