TTNG Training Services Academy to launch in May

Sunday, 22 Mar, 2019 0

A Training Services Academy has been launched by The Travel Network Group after a year in development.

There will be three types of courses on offer, some for people new to the industry, some for those already in the business and others for senior management.

The first sessions for new recruits will be on May 21-22 and will cover a range of topics including sales training, the power of word of mouth, switch selling from land to cruise, and how to close a sale.

The two or three-day courses will also teach newcomers how to use booking platforms, how to dynamically package tripes and how to take advantage of the trade press.

TTNG business partners will be invited to get involved by attending training days and offering mentorships.

The first training day for existing travel professionals will be on June 3 and will offer refresher training with an emphasis on new product and customer service training.

Attendees will be encouraged to go back to their teams and share what they’ve learned.

Management training will start on May 8 and will cover topics such as how to set a vision and purpose, how to manage cash flow, HR and governance compliance and how to get the most out of management information.

"The end of the course will be about how to love your job," said chief commercial officer Lisa Henning who unveiled the new initiative to members at the group’s conference in Budapest.
