TUI chief steps down ahead of Travelopia sell-off
Will Waggott, chief executive of non-mainstream travel at TUI; has stepped down from the executive board.
Waggott, who has been in the role for two years, will run the Travelopia specialist portfolio once it has been sold.
TUI said he had left the executive board to ‘avoid any conflict of interest’.
The sale of Travelopia, which includes more than 50 specialist travel brands, is due to begin in the autumn.
During his time with the company Waggott also headed up LateRooms.com and Hotelbeds Group.
