TUI director joins green debate
Colin Sharples, TUI’s director airline safety, industry affairs and environment UK, will join the panel for Travelmole’s Travel Industry Question Time on January 18.
The debate will explore what steps the travel industry is taking to protect the environment.
With his knowledge and expertise on fuel supplements, APD and sustainable tourism, Sharples will provide valuable insight into the green debate from a travel and airline point of view.
The Question Time will take place at the Hilton Park Lane, starting at 4.30pm.
Other panelists include Federation of Tour Operators director general Andy Cooper, responsibletravel.com managing director Justin Francis, lastminute.com travel director John Bevan and TripVision managing director David Jones.
They will discuss which travel companies are at the forefront in efforts to reduce CO2 emissions, which are the worst offenders and what is the effect on destinations.
The debate will be moderated by travel industry journalist and commentator Jeremy Skidmore.
