TUI sells LateRooms for undisclosed sum
TUI Group has sold hotel booking website LateRooms.com to India specialist Cox & Kings for an undisclosed sum.
Confirming the sale today, TUI said further details would be released in its earnings report later this year.
The group announced in May that it had put LateRooms up for sale in order to focus on its core operations.
LateRooms was bought by First Choice, prior to its merger into the TUI Group, in 2006 for around £120 million.
The last-minute hotel booking site, which features accommodation at 150,000 hotels around the world, has since faced stiff competition from the likes of Booking.com and Expedia.
India-based Cox & Kings, which specialises in luxury holidays, has not commented on the purchase.
