TUI to take on 175 more staff in Swansea

Friday, 17 Jan, 2018 0

TUI is set to create 175 additional jobs at its Swansea customer services centre after receiving funding from the Welsh government.

Its Alexandra House office, which opened three years ago with 48 staff, currently employs 280 people.

TUI will receive £525,000 Welsh Government business grant towards the expansion, said the BBC.

Economy Secretary Ken Skates said: "The company’s expansion in Swansea is testament to our reputation for delivering excellence in customer service."

TUI announced last October that it was transferring 52 roles from its customer contact centre in Luton to the Swansea office, a decision which upset some staff working in the Bedfordshire HQ. At the time, it said a further 58 jobs were being created in the UK.
