Two ABTA coach operators collapse

Monday, 17 Aug, 2005 0

Two coach operator members of ABTA have failed on the same day.

Carlisle-based Redcrest Holidays and Supreme Travel based in Hadleigh, Essex, both ceased trading on Tuesday.

Supreme, which also had a travel agency business, had gone into adminstration on July 29 but has now folded.

ABTA said it is “likely” customers who booked holidays with third party operators through the agency arm of Supreme Travel will be able to continue with their holidays, while those with forward bookings made with the coach operator will need to apply to the association for refunds.

Redcrest is believed to have 110 forward bookings. ABTA advised customers who have paid for holidays to contact its claims department on 0207 307 2041.
