ABTA board member Daniele Broccoli (Britaly Holidays) and Advantage Travel Centres’ chief executive John McEwan are fighting for the position of ABTA chairman.
A ballot of ABTA members will decide which of the two candidates will be elected to the post, formerly that of president of the association.
The closing date for return of ballot papers is June 10.
ABTA chief executive Mark Tanzer said: “We changed the Articles in 2007 to allow members to elect the chairman.
“This is an important role and I encourage all ABTA members to take an active part in the election.”
The winner will succeed outgoing ABTA president Justin Fleming.
