Two more agencies go under
A second ABTA travel agency has failed in less than seven days, unable to meet its financial commitments.
Worldchoice member Wingjet Travel of Bishop's Stortford in Hertfordshire followed East Anglia travel agency Global Travel Lounge into insolvency this week.
Wingjet, based in the Takeley area of the town, sold a range of holidays via its website wingjettravel.co.uk.
ABTA said the company ceased trading on September 28. Any principals that dealt with the company on the ACAS payment system should contact Worldchoice, it said.
Norwich-based Global Travel Lounge, a member of Advantage and an AITO specialist agent, ceased trading on September 24, said ABTA. The agency also had branches in Great Yarmouth and Wymondham.
ABTA said principals that dealt with Global Travel Lounge on the CAPS payment system should contact Advantage.
