Two Rocco Forte hotels to be sold to fund expansion
The Lowry Hotel in Manchester and The St David’s Hotel & Spa, Cardiff are being offered for sale by Rocco Forte Hotels.
Both properties will be offered with long-term management contracts with Rocco Forte Hotels in a sale and lease-back arrangement.
None of the luxury company’s 10 other hotels will be affected by the sales.
Chairman and chief executive Sir Rocco Forte said: “These sale and manage-back transactions will allow us to continue to build on the success of The Lowry Hotel and The St David’s Hotel & Spa, while freeing up funds for our continued expansion on mainland Europe.”
The hotels are being marketed from the New Year.
