Two ships leaving P&O Cruises Australia fleet
P&O Cruises Australia is planning big changes to its fleet.
In 2021 the line says farewell to Pacific Dawn and Pacific Aria as 3,000-guest ship Pacific Encounter arrives.
Encounter is currently sailing as the Star Princess.
Next year P&O also receives a Princess cruise ship – the Golden Princess – which will be renamed to Pacific Adventure.
A new look fleet of Pacific Explorer, Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter will start sailing in late 2021 with a combined 9,000 capacity.
It is all part its brand transformation to replace aging ships with newer, larger vessels.
"We have a clear picture of the P&O fleet of the future and it is a very exciting prospect with the brand well-positioned to continue to lead in this dynamic market," said president Sture Myrmell.
"When we embarked on this transformation two years ago, we committed to refresh the fleet over time and to set the brand up for continued success."
