Two travel bosses named as Britain’s ‘most powerful’
Thomas Cook chief executive Harriett Green and easyJet boss Carolyn McCall have been named among the 100 most powerful women in Britain by the BBC.
Both were included in Radio 4 Woman’s Hour Power List, which was topped by the The Queen.
No-one from the travel industry came in the top 20, but Mcall, who joined easyJet as chief executive n 2010 and McCall were included in the top 100.
Also included in the list was lastminute.com co-founder Martha Lane Fox and Kanya King, the founder of the MOBO black music awards who was an inspirational speaker at the Advantage Travel conference in 2011.
