Two United Dreamliner flights in forced landings

First it was smoking batteries. Now it’s leaking oil.

United Airlines has been forced to divert two 787 Dreamliners in three days

United flight 125 from London Heathrow to Houston ended up in Newark, New Jersey, yesterday when its low-oil indicator came on.

On Tuesday, a United 787 flight from Denver to Tokyo landed in Seattle after a problem with an oil filter in the engine.

Boeing said the two incidents were not related, but everyone is watching the new 787 planes closely since they were grounded in January.

The planes just resumed commercial service in May.
