Uber app hosts NYC yellow cabs
Long bitter rivals, New York City cabs and Uber are now joining forces. Rides in the 13,000 yellow taxis can be booked via the Uber starting in the summer.
Creative Mobile Technologies (CMT), which operates the booking systems for NYC taxis, said Uber users will have access to thousands of yellow taxis in a groundbreaking deal.
“This is a real win for drivers,” said Guy Peterson, Uber’s director of business development.
