Uber, Lyft add fuel surcharges
Lyft has joined Uber in imposing temporary fuel surcharges for both ride-hail and delivery services. Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, fuel prices have surged globally.
Uber is charging a fee of $0.45 – $0.55 per ride, and a $0.35 to $0.45 surcharge for Uber Eats deliveries. Uber’s surcharges are applied in the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
Lyft followed by adding surcharges for rides and 100% of surcharge will go straight to drivers.
