UK to take softer line than Australia on hotel quarantine

The UK will adopt a softer line on hotel quarantine than Australia with travellers allowed to leave their room as long as they are accompanied by security staff.
Documents seen by the BBC show people arriving from the 33 ‘red list’ countries, and who are forced to self-isolate in designated hotels, can go outside for fresh air.
