United Airlines launching India codeshare partnership with Vistara
United Airlines will begin codesharing with Indian full service carrier Vistara later this month.
Signed last year, the codeshare pact kicks off on February 28 and allows United’s customers to book through journeys to 26 domestic destinations across India.
These include Chennai, Goa, Hyderabad, Amritsar, and Bengaluru.
United flies direct from Newark to New Delhi and Mumbai, and San Francisco to New Delhi.
Additionally, Club Vistara loyalty members earn and redeem points on flights operated by United.
Vistara is one of only two major full-service carriers in India and is a joint venture between Indian conglomerate Tata and Singapore Airlines.
"We are excited to offer our shared customers the option of building a seamless itinerary when planning travel to cities beyond New Delhi and Mumbai," said John Gebo, United’s SVP of alliances.
