United Airlines to hire 25,000 more workers over next five years
United Airlines is planning a hiring spree which will lead to about 25,000 new jobs over the next five years. It comes as the airline is about to announce the biggest joint aircraft order in its history.
The new jobs would bolster its unionized workforce by about a third. New jobs will be focused mostly at its major air hubs at Newark, San Francisco, Washington Dulles, Chicago, Denver and Los Angeles.
The Newark hub alone will see up to 5,000 new jobs.
