United Airlines unveils Paine Field flight schedule
United Airlines will start flying from Everett’s upgraded Paine Field Airport six times a day from next March.
United’s schedule at the Seattle secondary airport will see two daily flights to Denver and four times a day to San Francisco from March 31.
United will operate Embraer 175 aircraft on the two routes.
United is the second mainline carrier to announced service at the soon to be upgraded Snohomish County airport after Alaska Airlines.
Alaska begins flying on February 11 to eight West Coast cities.
Southwest Airlines had also planned service but has since decided to relinquish its slots to Alaska.
"With United’s six daily flights from Paine Field beginning this spring, our new service will conveniently connect customers to the world’s largest business and leisure destinations with just one stop," said Ankit Gupta, United’s VP of domestic network planning.
A new $40 million, two-gate terminal at Paine Field is being built by contractor Propeller Airports, and United’s schedule will take it to its projected capacity of 24 flights a day.
Reservations are now live for United’s new flights although they are still subject to approval.
Paine Field is being touted as an alternative to Sea-Tac Airport, which is less than one hour away.
United also flies from Sea-Tac offering up to 40 flights a day.
