Universal Studios Japan outlines reopening plans
Universal Studios Japan has announced it will reopen to the general public from June 19.
The Osaka park will reopen with a limited capacity and will have a soft opening period from June 8 to 18 for annual passholders who must book in advance.
From June 15 to 18, Osaka residents can access the park by booking addvance ‘Special Studio Passes.’
From June 19, entry is restricted to residents of the Kansai area.
Special social distancing measures will be in effect and Universal said it may suspend ticket sales at any time to restrict visitor numbers.
Temperature screening will be conducted upon arrival and visitors are required to wear facial coverings.
"Guests are responsible for providing their own face masks. We reserve the right to refuse admission to any guests who do not follow this guideline," the company says on its website.
"The health and safety of guests and team members have been and will continuously be our top priority at Universal Studios Japan."
