Universal unveils two new budget resorts hotels

Sunday, 08 Nov, 2017 0

Two new hotels will rise at the Universal Orlando Resort, and they will offer the cheapest room rates yet.

Nightly rates will start at less than $100, Universal said, and will open by summer 2019.

The family friendly hotels will have a combined 2,800 rooms, with just over half being two-bedroom suites designed for families.

They will be located on a 64-acre site just a few minutes away from Universal’s parks and Universal CityWalk, and will have food courts, swimming pools, fitness rooms and other resort amenities.

The site used to be home to the now defunct Wet ‘n Wild Orlando theme park.

Free park transportation and early park admission will be available for guests.

Once completed, Universal Orlando will have more than 9,000 guest rooms across eight resort hotels.

"Guests will enjoy the sun, surf and sand with a laid-back coastal feel. Towering exterior murals with vibrant and natural colors will set a free-spirited and beachy tone, inviting guests to hang loose throughout their stay," Universal says of the new ‘value-driven’ hotels in a release.
