UNWTO Announces Second Climate Change & Tourism Conference
The World Tourism Organisation has announced a further conference on climate change and the tourism industry. The conference is to be held in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme, the World Economic Forum and the Municipality of Davos.
The Second International Conference on Climate Change and Tourism is to be held in Davos, Switzerland, from 1 to 3 October 2007.
The aim of the conference will be to evaluate the current and future contribution of tourism to climate change, as well as the impacts of climate change on tourism, and to propose measures that the tourism sector could take. Conclusions will be presented November at the Ministerial Summit scheduled during the World Travel Market in London.
