US Airlines to remain packed this summer
US domestic carriers had fuller flights than ever last month. And the summer prospect ahead: busy, busy, busy.
There will be few empty seats and little space to stretch out, said fare expert Terry Trippler.
Easter travel and spring break last month helped the six major airlines fill 82% of its seats, up from 78% a year earlier, according to data tracker Back Aviation Solutions.
“The packed flights would be encouraging for the major carriers if they were selling seats profitably,” said USAToday.
