US campground operator signs with UK specialist
UK-based outdoor accommodation specialist Pitchup.com has entered the US market and signed up Cruise Inn RV Parks as its first chain partner in the country.
Pitchup.com is the largest online campground booking agent in Europe, with locations in 18 countries and 60 European chains amongst its clients. Last year, it booked holidays for over 250,000 customers.
The company has taken on two North American reps. They are Colorado-based Brenda Bayliss, an avid camper with a background in sales, travel and business start-ups, and outdoors and sporting enthusiast Scott Glatstian, who is based in New Jersey with a background in the commercial real estate industry, where he specialised in client relationships.
Cruise Inn is an innovative brand of RV parks, campgrounds and cabins with 36 locations open or in development throughout North America.
Cruise Inn president and CEO Scott Anderson said: "Pitchup.com has quickly become a leading outdoor hospitality booking service in Europe, so we are thrilled to align with the website as it hits the US. Its dedicated user base will enjoy learning more about our growing family of RV parks and campgrounds that offer guests reliable, comfortable and welcoming facilities, as well as a quality, consistent experience at a reasonable price."
Pitchup.com founder Dan Yates said: "With Cruise Inn’s parks across North America, plus independent locations in Maine, Alaska, California, Florida and Tennessee, we already have a good geographical spread across the US."
